Karen Pace, Tour Manager: Karen Pace began her music industry career in 1992 as a DJ at AM576, a Top 40 English radio station in Taipei, Taiwan. She returned to Toronto as the in-store VJ at the HMV Superstore from ’93 to ’96 when she became the news editor at Chart Magazine. She was also the Saturday evening music reporter on “Lee Carter in the Summertime” on CBC Radio, then worked as an A&R, promo and marketing rep for Nettwerk Records. Karen simultaneously managed singer/songwriter Renann, ran the Canadian office of the Music Managers Forum for 7 years, and organized the Closer to the Heart Benefit for the Regent Park School of Music for 5 years. In 2000, Karen opened Pacemaker Productions, handling publicity for Jeff Healey, Healey’s Roadhouse, The Hard Rock
Cafe, Andrew Loog Oldham (Rolling Stones), Johnny “Rotten” Lydon, The Canadian Tenors, Lowest of the Low, Ours and rock photographer Richard Beland, among dozens of indie bands and events. She turned her attention to tour managing in 2004, leading tours all over the world for Blue Rodeo, Our Lady Peace, Jeff Healey, Pilot Speed, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Tegan and Sara, Tropicana from Cuba and African Footprint from South Africa.

While working at an insurance company by day, Chris started an independent music company in 1996 called RCD Music Ltd., where he engaged in developing talent, artist and label management, publishing, licensing and corporate cross-promotional initiatives.

He believes that Music, Film and Technology people can benefit from working with an Insurance Professional who has first-hand experience and practical knowledge of the risks associated with the business after planning, promoting and executing more than 500 events and programs from International Showcases, to National Tours, to Artist Management, to Corporate Interactive Marketing Programs.
Chris’ client roster includes artists, managers, studios, promoters and related suppliers who appreciate his candid approach and ability to demystify “Insurance and Risk Management” for their specific business situations. He can provide insurance for travel, health, legal expenses, business property, instruments, event and business liability, E&O insurance and much, much more.

He started in the Music Industry by opening his own agency but He quickly moved over to Key Entertainment, Courage Artists and finally The Agency Group where he has been an Agent since April 2002.
Paul’s diverse roster includes Down With Webster, The Trews, Bedouin Soundclash, Charlie Winston, Bring Me The Horizon, Cancer Bats and USS to name just a few.

Feist, Sum 41, Billy Talent ,Jason Collett, Sarah Slean, & many, many, others.

of the famed El Mocambo, under it’s current
new ownership, and, has re-established it as a prime music venue,
where, well know bands such as QOTSA , Daniel Lanois,

have played.
