ABOUT TRISS

TRISS is an alternative synth-pop/rock band from South Korea strongly inspired by 80’s synth sound and sci-
fi movies. As one of the best rising bands in Korea, they perform playing every instrument lively and sing in
English, unlikely most of the K-Pop music, which is known for group choreography and dance music.

[ BIO ]
Currently a 4-member band, TRISS initially formed by Hyun Duk Yang(Vocal, Guitar), Young Kwon Shin(Drum), Min Kyu Kim(Bass) in 2016, and Daisy(Synthesizer) joined the band in 2018. Hyun Duk, who is also the composer of TRISS, takes influence from famous soundtracks of the 80s and 90s sci-fi movies for producing music. Rock-oriented retrospective style sounds from team members make their music more unique. They also deliver unique and distinctive captivation to their audiences by presenting visual artistic lyric videos to heighten the Sci-Fi ambiance.

As one of the most popular band musicians in Korean music scenes, TRISS not only has won some of the competitive auditions in Korea such as ‘2017 KT&G Band discovery’ and ‘2017 Busan rock festival Burock’, but they also have been selected as a Best of Fest among more than 250 musicians from 16 countries in the Indie Week Canada. With the title, the band is officially invited as a headliner to CoMA festival, the music festival in Brasilia, Brazil in August 2019.

All-English lyrics and intimate relations with over 20,000 of national and international fans through social media, TRISS started gaining a lot of attention from music fans around the world and growing as a global
musician.

Their latest single ‘Rolly Rolly’ has created a new wave of dance challenges unexpectedly after the band had posted Rolly Rolly dancing videos of themselves for fun on the social media. Soon, the Rolly Rolly dance challenge went viral as a new dance challenge on a short video application, TikTok, by viewing by over 60 mililon of TikTok users ( http://vt.tiktok.com/J5Cpyt/ )
