The best of the best will perform live alongside some very special guests. Indie Week awards will be handed out in a number of categories honouring those who keep the independent spirit alive.

Nikki’s Wives, known for their electric live performances, as the headliner of the Indie Week Awards Show on Sun Nov 17 at The Mod Club Theatre. They’ll be joined by performances from Indie Week’s Best of the Fest.

“The Mod Club is such an iconic Toronto stage. We’re so excited to announce that we’re going to be up there during one of Canada’s greatest celebrations of independent music: Indie Week 2019. Mark your calendars cause we’re gonna tear it down.”

– Nikki’s Wives

Nikki’s Wives released their latest single “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, a cover of the Cyndi Lauper classic, on July 26th on Anti-Flag Records and our working on a brand new EP. After their sold out show at Lee’s Palace last spring this will be the band’s triumphant return to Toronto.

The Indie Week Awards Show will also celebrate a selection of other artists based on their performances during Indie Week and how well they encapsulate the independent spirit. Following the ceremony, attendees will gather for the annual Live Rock Karaoke closing party at The Bovine Sex Club.

After all the showcases, performances, late nights, parties, panels and incredible music this is the night we all get together to party!

AFTER PARTY @ BOVINE SEX CLUB – LIVE BAND KARAOKE
One of the great Indie traditions is the Live Rock Karaoke party at The Bovine.

The party starts immediately following the Indie Week Awards with an amazing live band the front spotlight is ready to shine on anyone who wants to belt out a song. You never know who is going to get on stage and what they are going to sing.

There couldn’t be a better way to say goodbye to another great Indie Week.
