Madame Psychosis

Madame Psychosis
Toronto, Canada

Madame Psychosis is a five-piece indie rock/soul band from Toronto. The group was founded by guitar player and songwriter Bret McCaffrey, and drummer Jaina Tharakan. Bass player Giovanni Paola, singer and songwriter Michelle Mondesir, and guitar player Rene Ip joined the band over the course of the next year. It only took the band a few practices before they won their first band competition at Revival Bar in Toronto. Their song, “Space Motorcycle”, cracked Alan Cross’ weekly top 11 playlist shortly after. The band was also featured on 94.9 The Rock FM‘s artist spotlight, Generation Next, in May of 2018. Four songs from the debut album were showcased, including “Space Motorcycle”, “Run”, “On Top of The Game”, and “Mellow”. Lastly, a panel selected the band to perform at Toronto Ribfest in July 2018 for Canada Day festivities.

The band is currently playing shows in Toronto in support of their debut album, which was released in June 2017, working on new material for their forthcoming album, and preparing for their first TV appearance on Global in January 2019.
